Organization Structure
Muktiono is the Chairperson of the Indonesian Association of Human Rights Lecturers (SEPAHAM Indonesia) as well as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Brawijaya, Indonesia. He took a master’s degree in the theory and practice of human rights at the University of Oslo, Norway, and finished his doctorate from the faculty of law, University of Brawijaya. His experiences on human rights activities were started at the LBH Surabaya (Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation) as a volunteer while studying bachelor’s degree in law at the Faculty of Law, University of Airlangga. In international advocacy, Muktiono in collaboration with the Minority Rights Group International (MRGI) has submitted an alternative report to the UPR mechanism under the UN Human Rights Council and attended the forum at the UN headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. In recent years, Muktiono is a team member of drafter on the human rights’ rule and norm standard established by the Indonesian National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) especially on the issues of religious freedom and access to justice. Muktiono has also deepened his research experiences when conducting visiting scholars at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR), a research fellowship at the University of Leipzig, Germany, and an awardee of research program provided by the SHAPE-SEA (Strengthening Human Rights and Peace Research and Education in ASEAN).
Cekli Pratiwi is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) and Chairman of the Center for Human Rights Studies (satuHAM). She is also the general secretary of SEPAHAM Indonesia (Serikat Pengajar HAM). She has a lot of experience in law and human rights. Pratiwi has degrees from universities in three different countries: an LL.M in International and European Protection of Human Rights from Utrecht University, a Master’s in Comparative Law from Brigham Young University, and a Ph.D. in Human Rights and Peace Studies from Mahidol University.
Her work focuses on International Human Rights Law, the Rule of Law, Constitutional Law, Public Administrative Law, Good Governance Principles, Public Litigation, and Peace Studies. She uses this knowledge to analyze legal systems, advocate for changes, and work towards a fairer society. Since 2010, she has been involved with the annual training program on Shariah and Human Rights, supported by the International Center for Law and Religion Studies (ICLRS) at Brigham Young University and the Norwegian Center for Human Rights. This program aims to create dialogue about Islamic law and international human rights.
Outside of her university work, Pratiwi participates in Religion and Rule of Law (ROL) training programs around the world. These programs, facilitated by the Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) and the ICLRS, help people understand how the rule of law works in different religions. She is currently translating a Case Law book on Law and Religion by Cole Durham and Brett Scharffs into Bahasa Indonesia. She has also presented her research at many international and national conferences.
Recently, Pratiwi has been researching the causes of hate speech in Malaysia with Article 19 in London and examining religious freedom in Indonesia with the ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights (APHR) and the International Forum for Religious Freedom (IFORB). She uses the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) to evaluate and suggest improvements for religious freedom in Indonesia.
She has written a publication, “Blasphemy Law as Structural Violence: A Challenge to Building Sustainable Peace” (De Gruyter, 2021), and an article, “Rethinking the Constitutionality of Flawed Indonesia’s Anti-Blasphemy Law” (Constitutional Review, 2022) both focusing on the problems with Indonesia’s blasphemy law. She also co-edited a bilingual coursebook on Sharia and human rights called “Hukum dan Syariat: Sebuah Kajian” / “Sharia and Human Rights: A Coursebook.” ISBN: 978-602-441-167-1. Pratiwi is a prominent voice in Indonesian law. Her work continues to influence discussions about important legal issues and helps to promote human rights and peace in Indonesia.

Joeni Arianto Kurniawan is the Coordinator for Research and Advocacy of Sepaham Indonesia. He works as a lecturer as well as the Director of the Center for Legal Pluralism Studies (CLeP) at the University of Airlangga School of Law, Surabaya, Indonesia. Joeni was graduated as Sarjana Hukum (Bachelor of Law) from the University of Airlangga School of Law. He then obtained a degree of Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sociology of Law from Oñati International Institute for the Sociology of Law, Oñati, Basque Country, Spain, and also a degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Law from the University of Pisa, Italy. Alongside having a field of expertise in Law and Human Rights, Joeni is also an expert in subjects as follows: Philosophy of Law, Legal Pluralism, Adat Law studies, Socio-Legal Studies, Law and Diversities, and Law and Religion.
Mirza Satria Buana is an Associate Professor at Faculty of Law, Lambung Mangkurat University, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. He earned a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Faculty of Law, Lambung Mangkurat University (2001-2005). He earned a Master of Constitutional Law (LL.M) from School of Law, Islamic University of Indonesia (2008-2010). He pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) at TC Beirne, School of Law, University of Queensland, Australia. His PhD study was sponsored by The Australian Leadership Award Scholarship. He has published several scholarly articles, books, and chapters with leading publishers in Indonesia, Australia, the Netherlands and Southeast Asian, in the areas of constitutional law, human rights, minority groups and legal pluralism. He was also a Fulbright Visiting Scholar awardee at Pritzker School of Law, Northwestern University (2021-2022).
Prischa Listiningrum is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, East Java, Indonesia. She earned her Bachelor/LL.B (hons) from Universitas Brawijaya and completed her Master of Laws/LL.M at the Univeristy of Edinburgh, united Kingdom. Her research contributes to the field of human rights law; environmental law; constitutional law; and energy justice. Currently, she runs an international collaboration with Nuffic Neso and Leiden University to enhance the development of socio-legal research in Indonesia. She is currently involved in several advocacy efforts including: (1) the right to a healthy environment and access to justice; (2) the right to access affordable and clean energy; (3) the inclusion of smallholders in the biofuel chain; (4) the protection of the rights of persons with mental disabilities in the workforce; and (5) the pursuit of academic as well as research freedom. She serves as the head of scientific publications at the Indonesian Human Rights Law Lecturer Union (SEPAHAM). Her research has been published in a range of law as well as multidisciplinary journals including Transnational Environmental Law by Cambridge University Press (2019); Energy, Ecology and Environment (forthcoming, 2022); Universal Journal of Agricultural Research (forthcoming, 2022); Legality: Jurnal Ilmiah Hukum (2021); Indonesian Journal of International Law (2018); Brawijaya Law Journal (2017); Arena Hukum (2019); and many others.

Inge Christanti joined the Indonesian Association of Human Rights Lecturers (SEPAHAM Indonesia) since 2011. For this period, she is trusted to be the Director of Publication in this association. As one of researcher at Centre for Human Rights Studies of University of Surabaya (CHRS Ubaya), she has done numerous research based on human rights based approach. Her interested for human rights issues was started when she became a volunteer in her university community service program in Surabaya, Indonesia.
In 2004, she was awarded Australian Development Scholarship (now known as Australian Award Scholarship). She finised her master degree (Master of Human Rights Practice) at Curtin University of Technology, Perth-Western Australia. She was trusted to be consultants in some researches. Besides that she pointed as member of National Action Plan of Human Rights in city level and member of task force for Indonesia Democratic Index in Provincial level. In recent years, she took several certified courses on bullying, sexual harassment and anti corruption. Few months ago, she was passed qualification as certified trainer on anti corruption conducted by Professional Certification Institution of Corruption Eradication Commission.
