The inauguration ceremony was attended by various notable figures, including academics, human rights activists, and representatives from Munir’s family. The space features a collection of documents and exhibits showcasing Munir’s life journey and his tireless efforts in defending human rights, including significant cases he handled.
In his speech, the Dean of FH UB emphasized that the memorial space is not only a tribute to Munir’s contributions but also a reminder of the collective responsibility to uphold and advance human rights principles in Indonesia. “Munir was a symbol of courage and integrity. Through this space, we hope to pass on his spirit to the younger generation,” he stated.
